Meals from the Heart provides food and outreach services that enable members of the Nelson County Community to live independently, with safety and dignity. Our primary mission is to visit those that are homebound and provide them with nourishing meals.
Volunteers: Dedicated individuals who give of their time and talents, supporting the office staff, organizing and marking meals for delivery, delivering meals using their own vehicles, spending quality time with our homebound clients and participating in special activities and events. Looking to volunteer? Contact the Guthrie Opportunity Center today >>
Community Networking: Networking with other organizations and individuals who are also concerned about the problems facing our populace.
Supporters & Benefactors: Our operations and the capital required to sustain the program is provided by individuals, businesses and foundations.
GOC Foundation: Provides menu management, food preparation and packaging services through their On-The-GO Food Services facility.
